August 30, 2010the studio nude – abstract space and shape
An Illuminated Figure Workshop Presented by Bill Earle and Scott Nichol
In this one day class photographers will explore posing and lighting the nude figure in various places and shapes within the studio. Corners, walls, doorways, alcoves are all wonderful challenges and opportunities for creating interesting images. Combining the human form with shapes both on and in them is an incredibly interesting experience.
Geometry lines and angles all come into play. Photographers will learn how to put all of these elements together in creating visually pleasing and strong images.
Abstraction applied to the human form creates images that really delve into moods, feelings and emotions that are not always obvious on the surface. We’ll explore a few techniques using very simple props to create dramatic abstract images.
For this class we will have two tremendously talented and experienced figure models, Brooke Lynne and Katlyn Lacoste. Each photographer will have time to work one-on-one with each of the models who will help you bring dynamic new pieces to your art nude portfolio. You can see additional examples of their work at their web sites listed below
The workshop is limited to six photographers so register early to reserve your place.
The workshop fee is non refundable. If we don’t’ get enough participants and are unable to run the workshop payments will be refunded in full.
